Capsicum Cultivation: There are many similarities between farmers and soldiers. Both are directly connected in the service of mother earth. A large number of Indian security forces also come from village and farmer families. After serving the country, they retire and get busy in serving their soil in their villages. The name of farmer Moti Lal of Rajsamand district of Rajasthan is also included in those defenders of Mother Earth, who after protecting the country decided to join farming. Today farmer Motilal is doing organic farming of vegetables on his 13 Biswa land. Despite having such a small amount of land, Motilal ji’s idea has not only reduced the cost of cultivation, but it is also giving a profit of Rs.3 lakhs.
Farmer became servant of Mother India
Farmer Motilal comes from Bali-Jassa Kheda panchayat of Bhim tehsil of Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. His land is in Selma village, where he is doing organic farming since 2008. Earlier, Motilal was serving in the defense of Mother India, but had to retire in the year 1994 due to being disabled. After this he returned to his village and started farming from the year 1995. After farming for 12 years, understood the benefits of organic farming and started growing completely organic crops.
Increase profits with these tricks
Motilal ji is doing organic farming on his 1000 square meter land. In this work, there is a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh in works like fertilizers, seeds or marketing. For pest-disease management also, instead of chemical pesticides, organic methods are used.
Motilal ji has planted colorful capsicum crop in a protected structure – polyhouse, in which buttermilk is used to prevent fungus. When the capsicum crop is ready, it is sold in the market of Beawar.
Income doubled from farming with these vegetables
Motilal ji has planted the red variety of colorful capsicum, Bombay Red and yellow variety of Orabeli in his field. Apart from this, mix cropping of other vegetables i.e. mixed farming is also going on in 1 bigha. Of these, brinjal and cabbage crops are giving an income of Rs 1 lakh.
A profit of 80 thousand rupees is made from desi chilli planted in about 1 bigha and 15-20 thousand rupees from gourd on the farm wall. From other crops also, 4 bighas of land earns 4 lakh rupees. Motilal ji is also taking the yield of vine-ripened tomatoes from his fields, which is making a profit of Rs 1 lakh.
